Enjoying a varied career albeit predominantly within transport in one way or another Paul has spent most of his life working for himself. In 1998 Paul took a break from self-employment when approached by a local haulage and courier company to take on a position in business development. Paul took on the role initially responsible for obtaining new accounts and later progressing to become General Manager, dealing with the day to day administration of the company in the directors’ absence. Paul used his experience in the haulage and transport industry as a platform to establish Route Logistics in August 2005. He still holds his HGV license and remains involved in the day to day running of the business providing crucial support and advice to Amanda and the team.

Amanda joined Route Logistics initially in a part time role supporting her father Paul with the business accounts whilst also running her own business and raising her young family. Amanda has seen the company grow through many periods of transition and now manages the company on a full time basis. Amanda ensures the company remains profitable, well run and has the sufficient cash flow in order to maintain and continue growth. Supporting her father by managing the team and overseeing the day to day running of the business her experience and commercial awareness is paramount to ensuring that the company retains profitability whilst servicing customer requirements.

Darren began his career as an apprentice Electrical Engineer at the age of 16, a career which he continued in for a further 23 years. During this time Darren established a successful business over a period of 14 years, servicing both domestic and commercial customers which included Route Logistics. Darren was asked by Paul to install cameras and trackers to the growing fleet and gradually over the years became more involved in the maintenance of the fleet.

Darren was offered the opportunity for a career change at the beginning of 2017 when Paul offered him a full-time position. Darren embraced the opportunity and hasn’t looked back after passing the International Transport Managers course in 2017 and is now the designated Transport Manager for Route Logistics.

Darren assesses fleet requirements and oversees the operational team ensuring that the business maintains high standards and always remains fully compliant.

Chris joined Route Logistics at the start of 2015 having previously worked in a variety of roles ranging from planning & operational to business development management within the logistics sector. Chris’s skill set is grounded in 3PL and General Haulage operations having worked predominantly for small family run businesses and larger corporate companies as well as starting his own freight brokerage company.

Having known Paul for a number of years, Chris was brought into the company to oversee and develop the transport department and has been instrumental in the company growth from the start of his career at Route Logistics. Chris continued in his role until the end of 2018 when Chris became the Commercial Sales Director. Chris’s key responsibilities are to identify new business opportunities and enhance existing customer relationships.

Graham has over 20 years’ experience within the transport industry. Starting out as a driver he has held various positions including Shift Manager, Transport Manager, Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager and General Manager. He has worked in most sectors of transport and warehousing predominantly FMCG. Graham met Paul over 20 years ago when he was a driver at Corby Chilled Distribution Ltd and Paul was an agency driver taking on work for Corby Chilled on an ad hoc basis, their paths have crossed a number of times over the years in various different roles and have a mutual respect for each other’s abilities.

Graham joined Route Logistics in 2015, initially as a HGV driver however in January 2016 with knowledge of his background as a Transport Manager, Graham was approached to provide temporary support to the operations department. Graham embraced the role and his experience became vital to the company, he became a permanent member of the team managing the transport planning on a day to day basis. Towards the end of 2018 Graham moved into a brand new role for the company, Business Analyst Manager of which he uses his transport experience and analytical skills to ensure the business is reaching targets whilst ensuring the best possible service for it’s customers.

Fleet & Compliance Supervisor

Natalie began her career in logistics in 2015 where she completed an apprenticeship in fleet and compliance at a national logistics firm. Natalie became a registered FORS practitioner after completing a FORS programme in 2016.

After joining Route logistics in April 2018 Natalie has proved to be a key member of the team and is responsible for managing the maintenance of the fleet, FORS, dealing with vehicle insurance, driver documentation and driver training.

Marta joined Route Logistics in October 2018 and has proved to be a great asset to the business, bringing with her a range of operational skills which provide support to the team. Marta’s role helps to implement and streamline processes and assists Graham by highlighting areas which may require analysing. Marta is an important link between operations and accounts processing paperwork and ensuring the process of invoicing runs smoothly and without delay. Marta has a fantastic rapport with drivers and the team and brings an excellent sense of humour to the workplace.

Marc started his working career in catering establishing himself as a head chef within a busy hotel and restaurant, capable of working under pressure and learning to cope with deadlines which meant it was no surprise when Marc decided on a career change he found himself interested in the transport and logistics industry. The career change took Marc into a role within a warehouse fulfilling tasks such as picking stock, loading deliveries and stock auditing. Marc was promoted to the role of warehouse clerk where he was responsible for a range of administrative duties and continued to build upon his skill set.

Marc later took on a role responsible for transport planning and then joined Route Logistics at the start of 2018 as Transport Supervisor assisting the day to day operation briefing drivers and dealing with customer enquiries. Marc supports Ryan and the transport operational team with daily planning and ensures that delivery deadlines are monitored and a high level of customer service is maintained.

Veaceslav joined Route logistics in 2017 with a strong background in transport and logistics having previously worked for an international transport company within the USA embassy in the republic of Maldova.

Utilising his vast technical maintenance knowledge Veaceslav maintains the fleet, ensuring that vehicle downtime is minimal and vehicle compliance is upheld.

Veasceslav embraces a challenge and constantly strives to achieve high standards in his work, he’s a great member of the team.

Louise joined the team in 2016 with a background in transport, having gained knowledge from working within various businesses such as same day parcel couriers and transport recruitment. Louise is experienced in dealing with both the sales and purchase ledger and prides herself on her excellent customer relation skills. Louise works alongside Hannah assisting in the smooth running of the accounts department and has undergone HR training which allows her to deal with the business HR enquiries as and when they arise.

Hannah joined Route Logistics in September 2018 to support Amanda and Louise in the Accounts department. Hannah graduated from University in 2015. Her background was within the hospitality industry where she completed her graduate programme and progressed to Assistant Operations Manager within a national hotel chain. Her varied skills which were developed within these roles and experiences have helped Hannah to take on her new responsibilities within accounts. Since starting in 2018 Hannah has proved to be a great asset to the team and is responsible for the daily processing of the purchase and sales ledger.
